Position Overview

Twin Disc is seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead our Inspection Department in Racine, WI. This role is responsible for supervising inspection personnel, prioritizing inspection workflows, and ensuring all inspection activities meet quality system standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise in machining inspection, CMM programming, and GD&T, as well as a passion for continuous improvement and team development.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of 5–10 Quality Inspectors
  • Provide coaching and training on inspection techniques, gaging, and quality procedures
  • Foster a safe, accountable, and collaborative work environment

Quality & Inspection Oversight

  • Prioritize inspection schedules to support manufacturing throughput
  • Ensure inspections are conducted accurately and in compliance with quality standards
  • Review inspection results and determine proper disposition of materials
  • Maintain accurate quality records for compliance and traceability

Technical & Systems Support

  • Develop, edit, and maintain CMM and VICIVISION inspection programs
  • Provide technical guidance on GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and gage selection
  • Support calibration programs and non-conformance processes
  • Escalate quality issues requiring corrective action

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration

  • Partner with manufacturing and engineering to resolve quality issues
  • Participate in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and internal audits
  • Support production and special project inspections as needed
  • Stay current with industry best practices and ISO 9001 standards

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of machining experience in an ISO 9001 (or similar) environment
  • 5+ years of hands-on inspection experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
  • 3+ years of CMM programming experience
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading
  • Proficiency with precision gaging tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)
  • ERP system experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

  • PC-DMIS programming experience
  • Technical or engineering degree
  • Calibration experience
