Position Summary
We are seeking a Controls Field Engineer to join our team in Mount Pleasant, WI. In this role, you will configure and develop application-specific control systems primarily at customer sites, while supporting the design, analysis, and maintenance of control systems for existing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure control systems across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic applications.
- Assist in writing documentation including design specifications and test plans.
- Evaluate hardware/software deviation requests and recommend improvements.
- Draft product modifications and write BOMs.
- Conduct root cause analysis and introduce new technologies.
- Provide product support for Production and Product Service.
- Test software/hardware and write associated reports.
- Maintain professional development through training and publications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Software, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 10+ years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic experience with editors, compilers, revision control software, and PLM/PDM systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of embedded systems and programming languages (C, VB.NET, C#).
- Understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with data acquisition equipment and CAN communications (SAE J1939).
- Valid passport required.
