Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Accountant to join our team located at our Racine facility. This position is responsible for Racine/Lufkin based Cost, Manufacturing, and Inventory Accounting functions for Twinco.

Education and/or Experience:
  • BS or BA in Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis and/or manufacturing accounting with background in the areas of production control, cost accounting, budgeting, and inventory control.
Computer Skills:
  • Working knowledge of JDEdwards preferred.
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite of products.
Communication Skills:
  • Extremely strong written and oral communications skills to communicate with all levels within the organization as well as external contacts.
Technical Requirements:
  • Proficient analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct internal control evaluations.
Work Environment:
  • Ability to work under a variety of situations, including difficult time constraints.
  • Work location is Racine, Wisconsin manufacturing facility and job responsibilities include presence in manufacturing facility and interaction with all levels of personnel within the company.
Specialized Knowledge:
  • Expertise in financial planning and analysis, production control, cost accounting, budgeting and inventory control.
Other Requirements:
  • Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize projects.
  • Ability to lead others whom are not in a reporting relationship, to successfully accomplish group goals.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Key finance partner for supporting the financial needs of the manufacturing team related to data, reporting and analysis.
  • Responsible for maintaining Cost Accounting system within JDE.  Including annual cost roll, revaluation of standards, reviews of incomplete costs.
  • Reviews standard margins and variances for assigned product lines monthly.  Performs costing analysis using judgment in developing material and labor standards.
  • Participates in inventory management through the review of standard costs to ensure appropriate inventory valuation and control.  Initiates changes as required.
  • Contributes to group cost reduction/value assurance projects and profit margin studies, often taking a leadership role on these cross-functional teams.
  • Responsible for all inventory accounting processes, maintaining and coordinating cycle counting, physical inventories, capitalization of variances, quarterly analysis of excess and obsolete inventory, LIFO, and reviews of lower of cost or market valuation.
  • Responsible for standard cost and inventory projections for budgets, forecasts, LRPs .
  • Assists members of the accounting team with review, testing and remediation of internal control activities and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
