Position Overview:
We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead the development and execution of commodity procurement and inventory strategies that support our manufacturing supply chain. This role is pivotal in maintaining our competitive edge through effective sourcing, supplier management, and global market analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for manufacturing operations.
  • Lead supplier identification, qualification, and management across the globe. 
  • Support sourcing teams in India.
  • Negotiate contracts and resolve supplier issues.
  • Collaborate with design engineering to standardize sourcing across commodities.
  • Drive quality initiatives within global purchasing departments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in direct material sourcing/procurement in a global environment.
  • Proven success in global sourcing projects, especially with suppliers in India and China.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly metal casting, forging, and machining.
  • CPM/APICS certification and lean manufacturing knowledge are a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Based in Racine, Wisconsin.
